Job Summary

To help maintain and enhance business activities.  This includes maintaining and developing partnerships.   To ensure that these partnerships build on the customer base and that partners are given the best possible customer service

Main responsibilities-Business Development Associate Job description

1 To help ensure that the strategy for exploiting market opportunities, including the identification of appropriate targets for business development, is implemented.

 

2 To work with the Business Development team to deliver the Business Development Plan with accountability for agreed  partner acquisition objectives for the market.

 

3 To be responsible for the day-to-day partner management, co-ordinating marketing activity and working across new  initiatives.

 

4 To understand and disseminate key market changes, highlighting the activities of competitors to relevant staff

 

5 To be the first point of contact for all relations with partners in the market and to implement and maintain a strong customer-focus plan

6 Working with lawyers and the Business Development team in assisting with contract negotiations wherever required, enabling long-term relationships that will secure business.

 

 

7 To maintain appropriate information systems, reporting periodically on performance against targets. Be responsible for market and partner updates in the CRM system.

 

 

8 To work closely with Marketing and Distribution to ensure partners receive the best possible service.

 

 

9 From time to time to help organise specific projects and events as required

1 Considerable experience of working in a sales and marketing, business development environment.

 

2 Good understanding of the market’s environment and distribution/delivery systems with a detailed appreciation of likely developments.

 

3 Demonstrable track record of delivering results to agreed timetables.

 

4 First class presentation skills

 

5 Experience in sales techniques including negotiating, influencing and networking skills.

 

6 Demonstrable ability to apply workflow and performance monitoring measures.

 

7 Ability to liaise authoritatively both within company and with outside organisations, covering a range of commercial interests.

 

8 Ability to gain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Commercial strategy.
