Job Summary

Provides the overall leadership necessary for the success of the company and implements policies and programs approved by the Board  of Directors and Executive Committee.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

PERSONNEL LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

Provides a strong leadership and management climate throughout the company and delegates responsibility and appropriate authority to employees

 

Directs the hiring/dismissal, training and annual performance appraisal of all employees

Directs the administration of the wage, salary and benefit programs for all employees

 

RELATIONSHIPS

Maintains frequent and thorough communication with the Elected Officers, Executive Committee, Board of Directors and committee leadership

 

Establishes relationships with members and other stakeholders and keeps abreast of their input and concerns while providing them with vision and critical information needed to implement programs and policies

Establish a positive and productive relationship between the company and appropriate national and state organizations and media

 

PLANNING/OPERATIONS/ADMINISTRATION

 

Ensures that the operations of the association are in accordance with the by-laws, and recommends changes to the by-laws when necessary

Develops operating policies and procedures as needed

 

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

 

 Protects the financial assets and fiscal integrity of the company while expanding the revenue base and controlling expenses

 

Provides timely and appropriate reports to Elected Officers, Executive Committee and Board of Directors

 

Assures that all approved contractual agreements between the association and outside persons or agencies are legally and financially sound and that satisfactory performance of the services specified is achieved
