To provide commercial and operational support across the businesses in support of the finance manager.  Preparation of the financial reporting and balance sheet.

Completion of month end process including P&L and balance sheet review ensuring revenue recognition, provisions and other accounting adjustments are in line with accounting policies and reflect business performance.

 

Preparation of budget and quarterly forecasts for businesses.

 

Preparation of investment appraisal paperwork and post investment reviews.

 

Preparation of monthly and ad-hoc reporting to support the sales, marketing, and product teams.

Qualified accountant or in final stages of studying towards a qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CA, ACA or other).

 

 

Analyse the results of the monthly P&L , including commentating on differences to budget/forecast, presenting findings to senior finance management and highlighting material variances and potential risks/opportunities.

 

Review accounts statements on a quarterly and half yearly basis.

 

Provide commercial support in all aspects of the business.

 

Scope & Impact

Provide day to day financial support to the businesses to control risks and drive commercial performance.

 

 

Strategic Planning & Decision Making

Responsible for preparing accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts for the businesses.  

 

Provides input into all day to day commercial decisions including pricing and profitability analysis.

Regular face to face contact with business teams.  Regular contact with other finance teams
