Supporting the cascade of key updates and announcements

by formatting content into interactive and HTML emails, and then supporting with their distribution


Leading on digital newsletter solutions and design including

embedded video content


Support the internal communications and engagement senior

leadership team in the delivery of print and digital design



Work with divisional client groups and the Internal

Communications and Engagement team to develop and

implement multi-media communications design solutions

and advise on best-practise and innovative design solutions,

taking into account accessibility requirements


Provide print design services for the Internal Communications

and Engagement team and oversee all print production

relationships and delivery

Qualifications and knowledge


•Prince 2


•Educated to degree level or equivalent


•Master’s degree qualification in healthcare informatics, management or leadership


•Excellent knowledge of national strategic vision and drivers specific to information systems


•Ability to distinguish between projects and business as usual


•Evidence of continued Professional Development


•Well-developed knowledge of change management approaches and techniques




•Significant project management experience with a track record of leading delivery and transformational service improvement


•Experience of service redesign and process re-engineering


•Experience of demand and capacity analysis, modelling and planning


•Experience of implementing information systems


•Experience of overseeing the development of test scripts and training materials based related to the introduction of technology enabled change


•Identifying, monitoring and management of project risks and issues, mitigating actions and reporting


•Ability to produce reports and complete project documentation in line with agreed timelines and expectations

Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure the

brand is consistently applied across all Internal

Communications and Engagement activities and that the

brand guidelines are followed at all times


Responsible for the sourcing and management of appropriate

imagery and film content required for key campaigns and

internal communications channels


Ensure timely and tailored delivery of communications campaigns, working with divisional internal communications teams to maximise effectiveness and measure audience reach where possible


Responsible for planning and managing content for the Pan-

digital noticeboards


Work with colleagues in Central Internal Communications and

divisional internal communications teams to deliver high

quality digital and print design


Contribute to the process of ongoing innovation to improve

the quality and effectiveness of our channels and systems

To support the delivery of communications and engagement strategies through providing digital and print design advice and support

Knowledge Skills and Experience-Digital and Print Designer job description

Excellent print and digital design skills


Creative ideas and a can-do attitude


Experience of managing branding and design of digital

channels and experience of HTML programming


Excellent stakeholder management skills


Prior experience of refreshing and updating existing intranet

or web sites - knowledge of Content Management Systems

(preferably Sharepoint, Immediacy and Wordpress)


Confidence using programmes such as Photoshop or similar


Confidence in using a wide range of digital and social media


Confidence in dealing with a wide range of staff, including

senior stakeholders


Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail –

ability to prioritise











Ability to balance a very varied workload and to be selfsufficient

and hands-on


Energy, commitment and ability to maintain a sense of

humour and perspective under pressure
