•Degree educated, preferably with a relevant subject, e.g. marketing,  digital degree or web design (or relevant experience)

•GCSE A* to C in English


•Passed all other GCSEs





•Experience or knowledge of the health sector/large websites


•Knowledge of digital and product marketing gained through previous work experience


•Knowledge of delivering digital products and working across a range of projects simultaneously gained through previous work experience


•Knowledge of client management and techniques used to manage them and satisfy their needs


•Good understanding of project management techniques


•Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr etc.)


•Sound technical understanding and willing to learn about the technical environment.


•Experience of Coding using front-end technologies, such as CSS and HTML.

Ensure site usability, SEO, web standards (W3C) and browser compatibility










Skills & Experience


•Experience of working on a large website for multiple clients

Free Job description Digital media manager


•Writing digital design briefs for different teams and working proactively with them in helping to maximise the effectiveness of  the way their content is presented across all channels



•Information gathering and analysis to report on website statistics, effectiveness of different channels of communication, horizon scanning to identify possible business development opportunities



•Creating approaches and content for email marketing programmes and social media channels, working with the Stakeholder and Engagement Manager and Digital Designer to ensure editorial consistency


•Helping to promote the outcome of engagement activities (including internally and amongst other agencies), by distributing project closure reports, attending engagement planning meetings with key stakeholders and reporting on successful work



•Day-to-day maintenance of the website, which will include updating content, managing queries relating to the site, approving site user registration, management of site discussion forum  and where appropriate, updates to sections of the website



•Lead on educating / training members on the usage of


•Testing site functionality, identifying problems or bugs and where appropriate fixing errors


•Create digital media products to support the engagement strategy using programmes such as Captivate, Photoshop, in design, Acrobat Pro, Visio

•Advises and consults stakeholders at different levels on social media, digital media,  online accessibility best practice and usage of


•Engage and build productive relationships with key stakeholders


•Responsible for choosing relevant, engaging images videos / images to support the delivery of the information being presented – developing and promote appropriate videos and interactive tools



•Leading the development and delivery of the  weekly work schedule which details current and upcoming team activity for the  team. This document will enable the team, and wider partners to understand what they need to be doing at any given time, how we are prioritising competing demands and ensure that resources are being allocated appropriately


•Act as key account lead for specific teams. This will involve working with different teams to understand their current and future engagement activities so that they can be planned into the work schedule. In addition to this, the account lead will also work with their nominated team to identify their target audience, create appropriate messages and select the appropriate channels to disseminate this information
