If you want an HR text book this book is probably not for you. If you want a unique insight into some of the weird and wonderful true stories that happened during a twenty year career in Human Resources it is.

Here is my quick walk through some of these jobs as we go down the page. Head of diversity will found in lareg companies looking after equal ops issues, there is no chance of finding this job in a small organisation, they couldn`t afford it!
Head of Reward, a key job which looks after pay, incentives, pensions, benefits etc. Done well this job can save a lot of money for a company.
Human Resource Admin is usually a process job often an entry into HR.
HR Business Partner tebnds to work with a particular division within a company, perhaps sales or IT in a larger company. It normally is heavily involved in operational and strategic issues.
HR Services often provide the admin and support for a large company including admin support, offer letters for new recruits, advice for ER matters etc.
Employee Relations roles tend to be involved in Discipline and Grievance, Union issues, sickness and absence, dismissals etc.
There are headings for each job description:
1] Job Summary-Provides a short paragraph about what the job entails
2] Main Responsibilities-The main duties and tasks required to be undertaken. Sometimes this section is known as "job duties"
3] Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-What sorts of knowledge and experience and qualifications are required of a member of staff to undertake this sort of role?
