Coordinates, in collaboration with the subcontracted organization, the day‐to‐day activities of the

 Develops and maintains tracking tool(s) to monitor the progress of implementation and meaningful

use projects


 Develops and uses tools to help identify and mitigate potential risks associated with implementation and meaningful use projects

 Develops and implements standard project management and other tools to be used by all IT consultants per the subcontract agreement.


 Develops and implements standard reporting and other processes and procedures to be followed by all  IT consultants per the subcontract agreement.

 Develops and implements an issues tracking process to ensure the timely and effective identification and

resolution of issues related to the implementation and meaningful use projects


 Develops and implements a post‐implementation/execution evaluation process and incorporates feedback to existing implementation and meaningful use processes, procedures, and tools


 Assists in the development of project plans, including schedules and budgets


 Identifies needs and develops appropriate training programs for subcontractor’s HIT consultants


 Measures variances from project plans and recommends corrective actions, as needed


 Performs analyses on the provider market and maintains the provider database

Primary Qualifications:


 Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in business administration,

information management


 Must have at least five (5) years of experience managing complex IT or similar projects


 Must hold the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute, an

equivalent certification, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience


 Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills


 Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and Excel, and MS Project or a comparable project

management software tool


 Must be able to maintain cordial, professional relationships with staff, Hawaii HIE stakeholders, grant subrecipient

organizations, and the general public.


 Must be willing to provide support in varied areas, as needed


Secondary Qualifications:

 Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, information management,

healthcare informatics, or a related field
