A good Job Description and Duties are key to a healthy working relationship between employer and employee. The job description tends to be more comprehensive. In our free database we split a jd into three categories. The "Job Summary" provides a short description about what the job entails. It is not normally more than a paragraph in length. Secondly there is the " Main Responsibilities" section. This details the main duties and tasks required to be undertaken to successfully undertake the job. Sometimes this section is also known as "job duties". We have thousands of free Job Description and Duties in our database at this site.
Finally one of our job descriptions has a section entitled "Knowledge, Skills and Abilities" detailing the sorts of knowledge and experience and qualifications are required of a member of staff to undertake this sort of role.
The answer is probably the most comprehensive free collection anywhere. We range from the widely sought after jd`s like Admin Assistant and Receptionist through to collections for professions like for example, Human Resources [cont below].
As well as the well known jd`s like HR Admin, HR Manager or Personnel Manager we have some more obscure HR jd like Reward Manager, Organisational Design [OD], Employee Relations, Communications, Change, Diversity, HR Business Partner, HR Projects Coordinator , HR Officer, HR Services Team Manager, HR Systems Manager, HSEQ Manager and Head of Change and Internal Communications. This variety is reflected throughout the website and we are constantly looking to update our collection.
Yes of course, there are many reasons for needing to check out job descriptions for different jobs. You may be an employer who needs to write a jd quickly and doesn`t know where to start. From experience it is useful to have something which acts as a starting point. In many cases on this site you will find several descriptions for a particular job and you can then compare them and perhaps use a little of each one to compile the jd. They can be used for both internal and external recruitment.
Perhaps you work for a job agency who needs to better understand a job for which you may be taking a brief. Let`s face it, however experienced you are there is always a new job title/position which is a bit unfamiliar and needs checking.
Our database can be searched from the top left of every page or alternatively you can browse the A-Z which is also on every page on the blue panel below the menu left. If you need job description/duties for manager jobs, executive jobs, medical jobs, sales jobs, marketing jobs or accounting jobs we have special categories which can be accessed via the menu. You find links to all of these jds from the menu.
