Marketing Coordinator and Account Executive Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator and Account Executive is responsible for coordinating promotional efforts, including marketing and public relations.
Establishes, tracks and manages project deadlines. Develops project time lines and ensures that quality standards are met.
Ensures that graphics and marketing team have all needed information, including deadlines, specifications, prices and other details relating to projects moving through the graphics and marketing departments.
Establishes an annual list of projects and deadlines, including print and broadcast ads, printed brochures and other materials. Creates production schedule based on meeting these deadlines.
Monitors inventory of brochures and other printed materials. Keeps Marketing Manager informed with bi‐monthly reports.
Ensures that all graphics and marketing project move through internal channels on time and are completed on time.
Serves as a liaison between department managers (and other staff), graphics and marketing team members, magazine ad representatives, printers and circulation companies.
Identifies scheduling problems and establishes solutions with appropriate staff.
Attends quarterly marketing planning meetings held by Marketing Manager and each department manager. Creates project schedule, with deadlines, to match agreed upon projects.
Assists Marketing Manager as needed, with deliveries, distribution of printed materials, obtaining approvals from department managers, monitoring literature distribution and reviewing ad results. Marketing Coordinator and Account Executive
Maintains records of all print buys and ads placed. Maintains files relating to circulation/distribution of printed literature.
Maintains public relations distribution lists.

Assists with other copywriting assignments as required or as assigned by Marketing Manager or Chief Marketing Officer.
Assists Events Coordinator and Marketing Director with assorted tasks pertaining to Maui Whale Festival events
Assists with Outreach Events
Education/Experience: Three to five years of experience in advertising production, or graphics and print production. Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising or related field.
Must be well‐organized and detail‐oriented
Ability to write clear and effective marketing copy
Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
Must have demonstrated effective time management and project management skills.
