promote the organization and its brand, programs, and services. The Marketing Specialist works with management to develop an overall marketing, branding, and PR strategy for the organization.
Free Job Description Marketing Specialist
Design/Develop PR and Marketing Materials
Oversee the creation of electronic and print materials to send to potential clients and funders
Create press releases
Assist with web updates (copy)
Develop and Manage Marketing Lists
Assemble and manage marketing lists in ERP/CRM software, NetSuite
Includes nonprofits, funders, government, staff, board, and media
Work with staff to ensure contacts are synchronized between ERP and Outlook
Develop and Execute PR and Marketing Campaigns
Identify target markets for specific marketing messages
Develop appropriate campaigns utilizing electronic and print marketing as determined appropriate
Manage social media applications
Coordinate and Manage Events
Organize events including fund raisers, program events, and staff off-sites
Identify dates and venues
Secure venues
Coordinate vendors and contracts
Order and arrange for delivery /pickup of refreshments, etc.
Develop and send communications via print and email
Report Effectiveness
Collect data and analyze effectiveness of marketing campaigns

Experience in the technology industry
Experience working with groups or teams to develop PR and marketing campaigns designed
around services, products, companies, or brands
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations or Marketing and Communications preferred or 6+
experience in the field

Marketing Specialist does not need to be a graphic artist or expert at desktop publishing, but must
manage the processes involved in drafting, composing, and producing both print and electronic media,
and is capable of creating such materials when needed.
The Marketing Specialist should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, is very
people-oriented, works collaboratively with staff, and can easily adapt to different styles of
communication.
