QUALIFICATIONS:

 

EDUCATION:

 

High School Diploma

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

3– 5 years in a Supply Chain procurement position.

 

 

SKILLS:

 

Skill in operating basic email, spreadsheet and database computer programs.  Proficiency with fairly complex in-house computer programs.  Basic analytical skills.  Knowledge of moderately complex procedures and practices relating to purchasing of goods and services.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Negotiating/conflict management:  Job requires employee to work with others as a team.  It requires incumbent to minimize unnecessary conflict or the emotional side of conflict by finding common ground.  Incumbent works toward a solution that is best for everyone.  

 

Logical analysis:  Job requires employee to think through and solve problems step by step; often looking beyond the obvious solution to a problem and dig deeper for the best solution.

 

Interpersonal communication:  Job requires employee to communicate well with people at different levels, frequently sharing information with others while listening to and understanding their points of view.

DECISION MAKING:

Job requires employee to make decisions about his/her work and to work independently.  Decisions are consistently made within reason and effect employee’s work group or department.

 

 

Administer the planning of materials and services in coordination with the Project Manager.

Create material and service requisitions and local purchase orders to support the project.

Track, expedite, and report progress of the project’s critical path items.

 

Communicate with Logistics personnel on important and critical consignment.

Prepare regular summary and detail budget updates.

Ensure compliance with company policy regarding vendors, receipts, payments, etc.

 

Travel to and from project site as required.

Reside with Project Team on project site for a short or extended durational period.

 

Support Project / Operation’s approval and transition.

Responsible for coordinating with agents in regards to customs clearance and documentation.

Ensure that materials and equipment are prepared safely and shipped accordingly with Transocean policies and procedure
