 As a senior member of the multimedia Newsroom, you will also be responsible for driving forward the aims of engagement with audiences, increased collaboration across the station, multimedia journalism and working with Newsgathering to manage resources at a time of financial pressure.

You will work closely with the Head of the News Channel to develop closer cooperation and sensible commissioning across the whole TV Team in the Newsroom. You will manage your team of staff to deliver the Six and Ten and also plan for and execute multi-media content which will reinforce the journalism of both the Six but especially the Ten.

To commission original stories which help give each programme a distinctive identity, which reflect the interests of the early evening and night time audiences. To develop and foster News values among the production team.

 

To actively engage with other teams within the Newsroom to foster the maximum exposure and reach of the award-winning journalism produced by the Six/Ten team.

 

To drive forward editorial use of the latest technology available to deliver exciting and inventive visuals. To initiate and develop innovative production techniques.
