Quality Assurance Job Description

 to lead, manage and develop the Quality Assurance team in line with our company targets for employee engagement

 

 to set, monitor and manage the achievement of team targets by allocating resources appropriately

 

 to drive through the implementation of a comprehensive programme of operational risk management initiatives across the company

 

 to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key senior stakeholders and education sector contacts, key partner organisations and other awarding bodies to exchange best practice

 

 to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments in education, with particular reference to quality improvements and assessment

 to have responsibility for ensuring the appropriateness and confidentiality of the external assessment design process

 to have responsibility for the analysis and evaluation of the operation of external assessments

 to have responsibility for the statistical analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness on external assessments

 to have responsibility for the Centre approval criteria and effectiveness of the process

 to provide feedback on business cases for new products and changes to existing products based on independent check and challenge of the proposals

 

 to have overall responsibility for operations of the internal assessment process (External Moderation/Verification)

 to have overall responsibility for the performance of External Contractors in terms of quality assurance of our products and promotion of exceptional customer service within centres.

 

 to have overall responsibility for external quality assurance arrangements for all products

 to have overall responsibility for the operation and effectiveness of investigations in line with the Malpractice/Maladministration policy

 to be a member of operational project steering groups for companywide projects

Qualifications & Experience

 Risk assessment experience

 Educated to at least degree level or equivalent

 Knowledge of assessment in an educational context

 Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and issues within an education context

 Experience of working in an educational environment

 Experience of working in a similar/comparable role

 PRINCE2 Foundation qualification

 Excellent telephone manner

 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including good grammar and spelling

 Demonstrable word processing, data entry, spreadsheet and email skills

 Excellent report writing skills

 Excellent presentation skills
