The Reward team provide specialist advice on current reward challenges and trends.
The Reward Administrator is an integral member of the Reward Team. Their role is to support the Reward Team with administrative and transactional activities ensuring issues are resolved by outlining options and making recommendations.
•Updates and manages the remuneration committee governance processes, ensuring that the structure and content of the papers reflect the current governance and compliance processes (and any changes that are made to the governance levels)
•Complete and update the Remuneration Committee on severance and pay logs
•Assists the Head of Reward and Reward Manager to create remuneration committee papers and reports
•Makes recommendations for process improvements, using demonstrable organisational and Microsoft office skills to streamline processes and devise new reporting formats
•Reporting remuneration committee decisions back to the divisional HR teams, using and developing appropriate templates to capture key decisions and outputs in a simple format
General Reward Administration
•Collation/preparation of documents for reward meetings, reports and press publications. To take the appropriate actions to ensure the highest standards of confidentiality are maintained
•Develop communications to support the work of the Reward Team including the rollout of annual programmes consistent with the ’s overall performance and reward philosophy to reinforce messages
•Assist in the management of and day to day processing and queries relating to the ’s recognition scheme, Celebrating Success
•Process the monthly Flexible Benefits reconciliation checking payroll and provider files
•From time to time, raise purchase orders using the myBusiness system and manage the financial administration of the staff benefits schemes, ensuring invoices are paid quickly, paying close attention to details and accuracy. To reconcile and process the recharging to the Business, liaising with suppliers, HR Direct and other internal departments
•Arrange and manage the monthly Reward Team meetings, taking minutes, agreeing agenda items and managing attendance
•Work with colleagues to assist in the day to day management of deals and discount programmes for the including updating the Reward Intranet pages
•Occassional ad-hoc team administration (e.g. induction, holiday logging)
•Manage own workload effectively and assess priorities to meet conflicting deadlines. This could be at short notice and under pressure
•Establish, maintain and develop as appropriate efficient office and administration systems and processes to ensure the smooth running of the office at all times
•Create, agree and manage service-level agreements and key performance indicators with internal clients.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
•Graduate calibre with proven track record of independently and effectively managing complex projects and processes
•Excellent planning skills - ability to prioritise and use initiative as appropriate
•Strong organisational skills; experience of working to tight deadlines, often under pressure, effectively and often without close supervision mobilising resources and confidently liaising with colleagues to ensure outcomes are achieved effectively
•Excellent and demonstrable attention to detail
•Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills including cost/benefit analysis
•Excellent presentation and written skills
•Excellent practical knowledge and skills in using a range of packages, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint – trained to at least intermediate level
•Experience in project management and knowledge of associated techniques and tools
•Proven ability to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively with a range of people at all levels
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•A flexible and pragmatic approach to supporting the wider operational environment
Free job description Reward Administrator
Central Reward Compliance & Management/Remuneration Committee
•Acts as key liaison between the Reward/Employment team to manage the Remuneration Committee calendar
•Ensures the Remuneration Committee paper timetable is managed, regularly updated and accurate reflecting any changes to timetable, meetings and/or actions arising from meetings
•Liaises across the People Division (and occasionally with the Employment Law team and/or other divisions) to ensure that papers are completed according to the calendar and timetable, giving due notice for delivery and completion
•Manages, communicates and updates the Remuneration Committee action log for the Reward Team
