Job Summary-Technology Engagement Manager job description

To assist with co-ordination, direction and reporting and any other associated projects and project teams as required.


To define and implement an efficient engagement and management approach that will allow full contribution to the roll out of multiple new products and services and meet strategic objectives


Support with recruitment and team development to create a multi-disciplined, cross-skilled team to ensure successful delivery of projects


To ensure project delivery teams have accurate information for realistic plans, are on track to timescales and have appropriate mitigations and technology understanding to manage risk.


To ensure project technology standards are met (documentation, risk/dependency management, reporting and governance) and are consistent across the project and department to meet the needs of the product


To work with specialists to understand the requirements, dependences and impacts for future projects across the portfolio and get engagement and buy-in from the business, stakeholders and partners, as appropriate.


To work in concert with the Solution and Technical Architects to ensure that specialists are engaged and solution designs meet objectives and requirements.


Ensure that technology risks and dependencies across the programme and portfolio are managed effectively and reported.


To appropriately structure the delivery and engagement plans, ensuring that resources are prioritised and scheduled across projects, to maximise effectiveness and delivery against project, operational success factors and within resource and business constraints.

Project delivery and management experience within a technically complex environment. Experience in the software, Internet, and/or media industries preferred.


Practitioner of recognised business and project management methodology, tools and techniques.


Experience in:


• Leading formal meetings and relationship building with technology staff, third parties, suppliers and key stakeholders


• Understanding of effective corporate reporting, budget control and good management information within a large organisation


• Reporting and change requests in coordination with associated commercials


• Sharing best practice and consulting throughout duration of the project


• Directing and executing the project according to the plan


• Producing status report documenting project health and progress


• Media technology requirements gathering and formalising


Experience of managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of organisations


Demonstrable experience of motivating individuals and reporting on projects and project team delivery


Ability to build, manage and sustain strong teams and relationships with stakeholders, third parties, suppliers and  partners

To ensure the success of the strategy and vision by ensuring delivery of projects, helping create a strategic legacy, supporting any operational change, and providing support and direction as required across the portfolio of partnerships and project relationships.
