Work descriptions

Work descriptions is typically another name given to job descriptions or job duties.  In other words a document which describes the list of tasks that a an employee is required to undertake in the course of their particular job.

 

In the normal sense both the employer and employee agree the description and everyone lives happily ever after.   Sometimes however the working relationship breaks down and the work description or job description takes on significantly more importance than before.

It is therefore, very important to be able to write a clear job description.

 

 

What this website does is to give you a database of work descriptions which enable you to have a starting point from which to write a work description.

How to use this site

There are literally thousands of work descriptions on this site.

 

Just check out the A-Z in the panel below the menu on the page left.  You can browse to find the work description that you need.  It is particularly relevant if you know the first letter of the jd.  Failing that you can undertake a search from the top left corner.

The main duties and descriptions of the work tasks required to be undertaken.  Sometimes this section is known as "job duties"

 

3] Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

The sorts of knowledge and experience and qualifications are required of a member of staff to undertake this sort of role
